Personal Care Workers

The Personal Care Worker is responsible for providing personal care services to consumers in their home. These services support our mission to assist persons with disabilities to live independently. Primary job functions include, but are not limited to: bathing, dressing, toileting, light housekeeping, meal preparation and simple transfers.

Society's Assets accepts applications from individuals who have no experience providing personal care services but have the desire and commitment to be a caregiver.  Society's Assets will provide hands-on, individualized training to eligible applicants.

Qualifications include:

  • Experience in providing personal care services to others or capability to receive training to be a caregiver.
  • Ability to follow a written plan of care and work under the supervision of a Home Care Supervisor.
  • Must be caring and kind with a passion to help others.
  • Possess a high level of honesty and dependability.
  • Background checks including criminal background, references and interviews are completed on all qualified applicants before consideration for employment.

Certified Nursing Assistants

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a trained para-professional who provides supportive nursing services to consumers in their home.  These services support our mission to assist persons with disabilities to live independently.  The CNA will provide assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, etc. including medical necessary services such as ostomy care, catheter care and bowel program.

Qualifications include:

  • Must be current and in good standing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry.
  • Ability to follow a written plan of care and work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Must be caring and kind with a passion to help others.
  • Possess a high level of honesty and dependability.
  • Background checks including criminal background, references and interviews are completed on all qualified applicants before consideration for employment.
