Living with vision loss doesn’t mean giving up your independence. Revital EYES is a supportive group program designed specifically for individuals experiencing vision loss — helping you discover new tools, techniques, and connections that make everyday life more manageable and fulfilling.
We meet regularly to share experiences, learn adaptive strategies, and explore assistive technology options that can make a real difference in daily life.
Feature checklist:
Our group meets every 1st Thursday from 1:30 pm – 3pm in Racine and every 2nd Thursday of the month from 1:30–3pm at St. Catherine’s Commons- Reflections Room
The Telecommunications Equipment Purchase Program (TEPP) helps Wisconsin residents with disabilities purchase the specialized equipment they need to use basic telephone services. The program is funded by the Wisconsin Universal Service Fund (USF) and administered by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin.
Society’s Assets can help you understand the program, determine your eligibility, and walk you through the application process.
How It Works: You pay a $100 co-pay and your voucher covers the rest — up to the maximum amount for your disability category. If you can’t afford the co-pay, the Telecommunications Assistance Program (TAP) may be able to cover it for eligible low-income individuals who are Deaf or Severely Hard of Hearing.
To qualify you must be a Wisconsin resident, have a qualifying hearing, speech, or mobility disability, and have a need for specialized equipment to communicate at home or while traveling. There is no age or income limit to apply.
Important to Know:
Not sure which assistive device is right for you? Try before you buy. Society’s Assets maintains a lending library of over 1,000 adaptive devices available for free demonstration and short-term loan through our Try-Out Program.
From identifying the right technology to finding ways to pay for it, our staff is here to help every step of the way.
Building meaningful relationships is a fundamental part of a fulfilling life. TREES is a free, interactive program that guides participants through different types of relationships — from acquaintances to close friendships — and helps develop the social skills to navigate them confidently.
This program is ideal for individuals with disabilities who want to strengthen their social connections, understand personal boundaries, and build lasting relationships in their community.
